It is a fascinating development that has led to today&#8217;s wide range of still images, films, illustrations, advertising, art, etc. The countless analog and chemical processes have evolved into computer-based digital processes. However, the result is basically the same; images and films in different versions that we are becoming increasingly dependent on.<br><br>The technology to produce images and to present them strongly influences our consumption and use of images. It is an exciting development that, with the introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence), faces unimagined possibilities. But also challenges that are likely equivalent to those that the society and viewers of the time faced in the infancy of photography.<br><br>The nature and form of expression of the photographic image have developed in step with the technological changes. Many tools in today&#8217;s digital world strive to recreate the look and feel of older images. So you no longer have to go back to wet processes, dark rooms and unwieldy large-format cameras to produce images that look &#8220;old&#8221;.<br><br>Several years ago I came into contact with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lensbaby.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lensbaby<\/a>, an American company, which produced lenses with a simple optical construction and with accessories to obtain images on modern cameras reminiscent of the images of the old photo pioneers. By exploiting the technical limitations, one can reproduce the motifs in expressive images stripped of the perfectionism of modern technology.<br><br>My Lensbaby package includes: Lensbaby Composer Pro with different lens heads that give the character of a pinhole camera, plastic lens, single glass lens and double glass lens. For those with optical lenses come with a set of discs with different apertures, wideangle and telephoto attachments are available. A variety of discs with apertures and shapes can be placed in front of the lens to create vignetting images. The pictures weren&#8217;t nearly as exciting as I expected and the stuff ended up on the shelf. I was all the happier when I tried the lens on my Nikon D600 by pure chance. Suddenly, the limited sharp areas surrounded by blurred areas appeared. It is the effect of the size of the image censor. The D90 is a DX, i.e. a half-frame camera, while the D600 is an FX, i.e. a full-frame camera. The lens is designed for a full frame camera. Since then, I have occasionally brought out and experimented with the Lensbaby package. The possibilities are endless, but it requires focusing on them and ignoring what you could get with traditional photography.<br><br>H\u00e5kan Gottberger&#8217;s fantastic pictures at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.\u00f6fc.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00d6sterlen\u2019s Fotograficentrum<\/a> in Smedstorp in the summer of 2024 inspired me for this project. Some of H\u00e5kan&#8217;s pictures are published on his website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gottberger.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.gottberger.se<\/a>. <br><br>The intention with It is a fascinating development that has led to today's wide range of still images, films, illustrations, advertising, art, etc. The countless analog and chemical processes have evolved into computer-based digital processes. However, the result is basically the same; images and films in different versions that we are becoming increasingly dependent on.<br><br>The technology to produce images and to present them strongly influences our consumption and use of images. It is an exciting development that, with the introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence), faces unimagined possibilities. But also challenges that are likely equivalent to those that the society and viewers of the time faced in the infancy of photography.<br><br>The nature and form of expression of the photographic image have developed in step with the technological changes. Many tools in today's digital world strive to recreate the look and feel of older images. So you no longer have to go back to wet processes, dark rooms and unwieldy large-format cameras to produce images that look \"old\".<br><br>Several years ago I came into contact with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lensbaby.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lensbaby<\/a>, an American company, which produced lenses with a simple optical construction and with accessories to obtain images on modern cameras reminiscent of the images of the old photo pioneers. By exploiting the technical limitations, one can reproduce the motifs in expressive images stripped of the perfectionism of modern technology.<br><br>My Lensbaby package includes: Lensbaby Composer Pro with different lens heads that give the character of a pinhole camera, plastic lens, single glass lens and double glass lens. For those with optical lenses come with a set of discs with different apertures, wideangle and telephoto attachments are available. A variety of discs with apertures and shapes can be placed in front of the lens to create vignetting images. The pictures weren't nearly as exciting as I expected and the stuff ended up on the shelf. I was all the happier when I tried the lens on my Nikon D600 by pure chance. Suddenly, the limited sharp areas surrounded by blurred areas appeared. It is the effect of the size of the image censor. The D90 is a DX, i.e. a half-frame camera, while the D600 is an FX, i.e. a full-frame camera. The lens is designed for a full frame camera. Since then, I have occasionally brought out and experimented with the Lensbaby package. The possibilities are endless, but it requires focusing on them and ignoring what you could get with traditional photography.<br><br>H\u00e5kan Gottberger's fantastic pictures at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.\u00f6fc.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00d6sterlen\u2019s Fotograficentrum<\/a> in Smedstorp in the summer of 2024 inspired me for this project. Det \u00e4r en fascinerande utveckling som lett fram till dagens breda utbud av stillbilder, filmer, illustrationer, reklam, konst etc. De otaliga analoga och kemiska processerna har utvecklats till datorbaserade digitala processer. Resultatet \u00e4r dock i princip det samma; bilder och filmer i olika utf\u00f6rande som vi blir alltmer beroende av.<br><br>Tekniken f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 fram bilder och f\u00f6r att presentera dessa p\u00e5verkar starkt v\u00e5r konsumtion och anv\u00e4ndande av bilder. Det \u00e4r en sp\u00e4nnande utveckling som med introduktionen av AI (Artificiell Intelligens) st\u00e5r inf\u00f6r oanade m\u00f6jligheter. Men ocks\u00e5 utmaningar som sannolikt \u00e4r likv\u00e4rdiga de som d\u00e5tidens samh\u00e4lle och betraktare st\u00e4lldes inf\u00f6r i fotografins barndom.<br><br>Den fotografiska bildens karakt\u00e4r och uttrycksform har utvecklats i takt med de tekniska f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna. M\u00e5nga verktyg i dagens digitala v\u00e4rld efterstr\u00e4var att \u00e5terskapa \u00e4ldre bilders utseende och framtoning. Man beh\u00f6ver allts\u00e5 inte l\u00e4ngre g\u00e5 tillbaka till v\u00e5ta processer, m\u00f6rka rum och otympliga storformatskameror f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 fram bilder som ser \u201dgamla\u201d ut.<br><br>F\u00f6r flera \u00e5r sedan kom jag i kontakt med <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lensbaby.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lensbaby<\/a>, ett amerikanskt f\u00f6retag, som tillverkade objektiv med enkel optisk uppbyggnad och med tillbeh\u00f6r f\u00f6r att p\u00e5 moderna kameror f\u00e5 bilder som p\u00e5minner om de gamla fotopionj\u00e4rernas bilder. Genom att utnyttja de tekniska begr\u00e4nsningarna kan man \u00e5terge motiven i uttrycksfulla bilder avskalade fr\u00e5n den moderna teknikens perfektionism.<br><br>I mitt Lensbaby paket ing\u00e5r: Lensbaby Composer Pro med olika linshuvuden som ger karakt\u00e4ren av h\u00e5lkamera, plastlins, enkelglas lins och dubbelglaslins. Till de med optiska linser finns en upps\u00e4ttning skivor med olika bl\u00e4ndar\u00f6ppningar, vidvinkel- och teletillsattser finns. En m\u00e4ngd olika skivor med \u00f6ppningar och figurer kan s\u00e4ttas framf\u00f6r objektivet f\u00f6r att skapa vinjetterade bilder. Bilderna blev inte alls s\u00e5 sp\u00e4nnande som jag f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntat mig och grejorna hamnade p\u00e5 hyllan. Desto gladare blev jag d\u00e5 jag av ren slump provade objektivet p\u00e5 min Nikon D600. Pl\u00f6tsligt uppstod de begr\u00e4nsade skarpa omr\u00e5dena omgivna av suddiga partier. Det \u00e4r effekten av bildcensorns storlek. D90an \u00e4r en DX, dvs en halvformatskamera medan D600an \u00e4r en FX, dvs en fullformatskamera. Objektivet \u00e4r designat f\u00f6r en fullformatskamera. Sedan dess har jag d\u00e5 och d\u00e5 tagit fram och experimenterat med Lensbaby paketet. M\u00f6jligheterna \u00e4r o\u00e4ndliga, men det kr\u00e4vs att man fokuserar p\u00e5 dessa och bortser fr\u00e5n det man skulle kunna f\u00e5 med traditionell fotografering.<br><br>H\u00e5kan Gottbergers fantastiska bilder p\u00e5 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.\u00f6fc.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00d6sterlens Fotograficentrum<\/a> i Smedstorp sommaren 2024 inspirerade mig till detta projekt. It is a fascinating development that has led to today's wide range of still images, films, illustrations, advertising, art, etc. The countless analog and chemical processes have evolved into computer-based digital processes. However, the result is basically the same; images and films in different versions that we are becoming increasingly dependent on.<br><br>The technology to produce images and to present them strongly influences our consumption and use of images. It is an exciting development that, with the introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence), faces unimagined possibilities. But also challenges that are likely equivalent to those that the society and viewers of the time faced in the infancy of photography.<br><br>The nature and form of expression of the photographic image have developed in step with the technological changes. Many tools in today's digital world strive to recreate the look and feel of older images. So you no longer have to go back to wet processes, dark rooms and unwieldy large-format cameras to produce images that look \"old\".<br><br>Several years ago I came into contact with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lensbaby.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lensbaby<\/a>, an American company, which produced lenses with a simple optical construction and with accessories to obtain images on modern cameras reminiscent of the images of the old photo pioneers. By exploiting the technical limitations, one can reproduce the motifs in expressive images stripped of the perfectionism of modern technology.<br><br>My Lensbaby package includes: Lensbaby Composer Pro with different lens heads that give the character of a pinhole camera, plastic lens, single glass lens and double glass lens. For those with optical lenses come with a set of discs with different apertures, wideangle and telephoto attachments are available. A variety of discs with apertures and shapes can be placed in front of the lens to create vignetting images. The pictures weren't nearly as exciting as I expected and the stuff ended up on the shelf. I was all the happier when I tried the lens on my Nikon D600 by pure chance. Suddenly, the limited sharp areas surrounded by blurred areas appeared. It is the effect of the size of the image censor. The D90 is a DX, i.e. a half-frame camera, while the D600 is an FX, i.e. a full-frame camera. The lens is designed for a full frame camera. Since then, I have occasionally brought out and experimented with the Lensbaby package. The possibilities are endless, but it requires focusing on them and ignoring what you could get with traditional photography.<br><br>H\u00e5kan Gottberger's fantastic pictures at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.\u00f6fc.se\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00d6sterlen\u2019s Fotograficentrum<\/a> in Smedstorp in the summer of 2024 inspired me for this project.
