The storm last week was considerably milder than the forecasts indicated. The weekend offered fantastic winter weather. Light wind and sunshine meant that many took the opportunity to enjoy the winter landscape on the coast with the exciting and impressive ice formations.
At the beginning of the week the weather was clear and we woke up to clear weather with biting cold and to fantastic red sunrises.. The strong and agitated foaming waves hit the ice edge and half-frozen water droplets hit us and stuck to our clothes. Exciting scenery that was challenging to photograph.
We went along the coast to Vårhallarna and noted that it is only on the sandy beaches up in the middle of Hanö Bay that the ice landscape was formed.
Now temperature is above zero again, cloudy and rainy. The Arctic landscape is gone and only exists in our pictures. A tiny budding feeling of spring is in the air, inspired by the bird’s chirping…
