Bled is a small town in the Julian Alps. It has developed from a health resort to a touristic centre. The town is located at the Bled Lake, surrounded by high mountains and with the small island Otok with the old church in the middle that can only be reached by wooden rowing boats. The lake is 2,12 km long and 0,5 to 1 km wide; surrounded by nice walking paths passing the old castle on top of a cliff. The water is cristal clear with a temperature of 23-25 ˚C in summer and freeze to ice in winter. Nearby is the Bohinj Lake and Triglav National Parc with Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia (2864 m MSL).

Staden och sjön med de omgivande bergen är sagolikt vacker och erbjuder fotografer oändligt många möjligheter.
